Below is a list of tools that Lewis Financial Tax Service, LLC utilizes to protect our clients’ data:
- Fully encryption on all hard drives, external drives, solid state drives and servers.
- Includes TPM chips on all computers.
- Secure, encrypted document portal, utilizing Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS 140-2), used for sending/receiving documents containing PII or NPI. Portal employed for correspondence between:
- Clients to Lewis Financial Tax Service
- Lewis Financial Tax Service to Clients
- In-house file transfer between computers
- Fully encrypted (two-way) e-fax service using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS).
- Wi-Fi utilizing WPA2 and AES encryption.
- Weekly monitoring of our Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN) to monitor returns being edited or submitted by someone not affiliated with Lewis Financial Tax Service.
- SignX e-signature service for our electronic filing clients. This service is backed by our tax program and is ISO 27001 and SSAE-16 certified.
- Use of trusted electronic commerce companies for credit card payments (optional), using SSL encryption, such as PayPal™ and Zelle™.
- Virus, Malware and Phishing software meeting all federal mandates and requirements.
- Multiple layers of security preventing unsecured access to physical files, information and equipment.
